Bicipital and tricipital tendonitis is inflammation in the main tendons of the upper arm. Bicipital tendonitis occurs in the shoulder and tricipital tendonitis occurs above the elbow.
The most common cause of tendonitis is due to repeated wear and tear from work or sports activities, but can also happen suddenly from a direct injury like a fall. Tendons can also become inflamed or irritated in response to other problems, such as rotator cuff tears or other factors.
Amnio therapy has been shown to be effective in healing tendons by releasing essential growth factors (cytokines, amino acids, carbohydrates, hyaluronic acid, extracellular matrix proteins, and other cellular components) as well as recruiting your body’s own stem cells to the injured site to promote tissue regeneration.
We use an exact, image-guided injection of a liquid allograft comprised of amnion and amniotic fluid components to feed and grow stem cells at the affected area. As a result, amnion-derived allografts make an attractive wound biomaterial that promotes a rapid, natural healing of your tendon from the inside out.

Patients are often told they need surgery to fix their tendonitis, but surgery is not the answer for most tendonitis injuries, and may actually never help you regain the use of your biceps or triceps to the level you were prior to injury. Fortunately, there is a better, faster, less-invasive solution: amniotic stem cell therapy.
